2016 World Junior Ball Hockey Championships July 6th – 12th, 2016
The World Junior Ball Hockey Championships for the U16, U18 & U20 are held every two years (even years) in various hosted regions. In past the U16 & U18 were held together in the same town early in the month of June while the U20 was held in a different city late in June. For 2016 the ISBHF along with the Ball Hockey UK will be hosting all three Championships in Sheffield, UK.
The best U20, U18 and U16 players in the World will set their target to be in this South Yorkshire powerhouse of a sporting city with its 1.6 million residents for what will be a historical event for our sport for their shot at becoming a champion.
Ball Hockey UK has been one of the best success stories in our sport, bolstering its status as one of our leading nations in player involvement and members which has garnered it much respect worldwide. Now they will host the World and the whole Ball Hockey UK family should be proud and ready. Taking the baton from the World Junior event held in Bratislava, Slovakia in 2014 that had 20 national youth teams attend (Most in ISBHF history). With this great venue, this great organization, the ISBHF has aspirations of having even more youth teams attend in UK.
This high calibre event showcases the top Canadian ball hockey players from right across the country. Players have been chosen from extensive scouting at the major Canadian events in 2015 (listed below).

July 10th – 12th, 2015 – Halton Hills, Ontario
The Ontario Provincials are held every year in different Ontario host cities. This year the Atom/Peewee/Bantam/Junior Minor Provincial Championships are in Halton Hills (Georgetown/Acton). This high calibre event showcases the top ball hockey associations in Ontario competing against each other for a spot in the following year Junior Nationals. Ontario has been provided several players for the JTC program.

Western Challenge Cup
July 16th – 19th, 2015 – Surrey, BC
The Western Challenge Cup have five divisions in this tournament. U10, U12, U14, U17, U19. This event is hosted in Western Canada. Teams that participate are sent by local ball hockey associations within the Western Provinces. The majority of teams are “all star” selected players that make up the teams that compete at this event. The event has been running since 2000 and have produced high level ball hockey players. Contact your local ball hockey association for participation information.

July 30th – August 2nd, 2015 – St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador
The Junior Nationals have three divisions in this tournament. U15 (born 2000 & 2001), U17 (born 1998 & 1999) and U19 (born 1996 & 1997). The teams that participate in the Junior Nationals are registered and sent by their Provincial governing associations.
In some Provinces, teams are selected the year prior while in other Provinces there are tryouts and player selections months prior to the tournament.
